(8/8) – Best eSports Betting Sites & Top 10 eSports Sportsbooks in 2022 – Film Daily

The competitive gaming world is full of sick outplays and fails you can only see in the Bronze division — and the best esports betting sites allow you to bet on every single one of them.

Since not every esports bookmaker is created equal (not all of them will allow you to bet on Jinx stealing the Baron without vision), we’ve decided to dive into the gaming world and bring you the top 10 online esports betting sites.

Sportsbetting.ag was our #1 pick for their $1,000 free bet bonus, comprehensive esports coverage, and the super-generous 60% boost on your parlay betting slips.

But we’ve got 9 runner-ups looking to steal the show as well, so let’s check them out.

Best eSports Betting Sites

1. Sportsbetting.ag – Best eSports Betting Site Overall

Pros:

  • 10+ esports markets
  • Live betting and streaming supported
  • $1,000 sports welcome bonus
  • 60% eSports Parlay Power Up
  • Plenty of banking options

Cons:

Sportsbetting.ag provides the best overall esports gambling experience we could ask for. Between their slew of game-specific esports bets, mobile-friendly site, $1,000 welcome bonus, and the ultimate esports parlay power up — this betting site checks all the boxes.

eSports Betting Markets: 4.6/5

Sportsbetting.ag hosts competitive odds across major and minor tournaments. They cover straight bets, futures, and live betting across all games. Beyond the basics, you can also wager on the first-round pistol winner in CS:GO, as well as first blood and first Baron or Roshan in Dota 2 and LoL.

You can live-stream games through Twitch on Sportsbetting.ag’s platform and place in-play bets while the action unfolds.

If you’re looking for a winning wager, Sportsbetting.ag is here to deliver.

Welcome Bonus & Free Bets: 4.9/5

Sportsbetting.ag’s premier welcome bonus puts a generous offer on the table for new sign-ups.

When you make your first deposit of $55 or more, you’ll receive a 50% match bonus worth up to $1,000. You can use your bonus cash to bet on your favorite esports games, place live wagers, or expand your horizons with their online sportsbook.

To earn your funds back, you’ll have to meet 10x wagering requirements. We’re used to seeing stricter playthroughs for offers this sweet, but Sportsbetting.ag runs ahead of the pack.

Besides the welcome offer, the most distinctive feature this esports betting website offers is the fantastic 60% eSports Parlay Power Up, allowing you to boost your winnings if you’re willing to bet on multiple picks.

Crypto & Fiat Banking Options: 4.7/5

You can fund your account with 17 cryptocurrencies, your credit card, or an eCheck transfer. If you’d rather avoid the credit card deposit fee, we’d recommend using cryptocurrency to bet here.

Sportsbetting.ag accepts BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, Tether, and 12 additional altcoins.

To start wagering, you have to cough up at least $20. However, to trigger the welcome offer, you have to deposit at least $55.

Crypto payouts range from $20 to $100,000 per transaction, and they’re delivered within 1-2 days. Comparatively, fiat withdrawal minimums begin at $50. If you’re getting paid with cash, expect to wait 3-5 days for your money.

Mobile Compatibility: 4.5/5

Sportsbetting.ag’s website is 100% mobile-friendly. While they don’t have a downloadable app, we enjoyed lag-free live streaming and one-click betting across our favorite esports games.

Their white-and-blue background benefits from simplicity, and their light-footed UI won’t bog down your phone. While simplicity has its benefits, it doesn’t look good at all. The site is overdue for a redesign, and there’s no sugarcoating it.

Customer Support: 4.8/5

Sportsbetting.ag normalizes top-tier customer service. If you have any questions or concerns, you can get in touch via phone, email, or live chat. They’re available 24/7, so don’t hesitate to reach out.

If you need immediate assistance, we’d recommend calling their phone line. We waited on hold for less than 5 minutes before speaking with a real person.

2. Bovada – Best Welcome Bonus of all eSports Betting Sites Online

Pros:

  • Up to $750 in free bets
  • Low, 5x wagering requirements
  • Great esports coverage
  • Stellar live betting interface

Cons:

  • Late lines on occasion
  • Slower fiat payouts

Bonus hunters should consider their journey finished. Thanks to their industry-leading wagering requirements, Bovada’s $750 free bet bonus blows the competition away.

eSports Betting Markets: 4.5/5

Bovada houses a handful of esports markets (depending on the active tournaments at the time), supports live betting across most esports events, and offers low-commission (low juice) wagers that you won’t find at other online esports bookmakers.

We found 300+ lines for Dota 2, League of Legends, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, Valorant,  and Wild Rift. Whether you’re looking to bet on local qualifiers or world championship matches, Bovada covers nationwide esports events with a degree of precision that’s hard to match.

However, Bovada is famous among the betting community for displaying its betting lines later than the competition, which might be a problem if you want to bet on multiple legs that span across a few days.

Side fact: Bovada is one of the best Bitcoin poker sites.

Welcome Bonus & Free Bets: 5/5

Bitcoin bettors are in for a deal they can’t refuse. With your first crypto deposit of $20 or more, you’ll qualify for a 75% match bonus worth up to $750 in free bets.

While this offer might not sound flashy, their 5x playthrough makes it easy to cash out. You can say goodbye to endless wagering and wave hello to a juicy payday.

Unfortunately, cash bettors get a significantly less generous package. When you deposit $25 or more in cash, you’ll get a 50% deposit bonus worth up to $250. On the bright side, Bovada’s identical playthrough for this offer guarantees quick cashouts as well.

Crypto & Fiat Banking Options: 4.5/5

Bovada accepts deposits through BTC, ETH, Tether, LTC, and BCH. If you’re playing with cash, you can bank your funds with a voucher payment or credit card.

Although Bovada’s fiat payouts can take 5-7 days for processing and delivery, crypto bettors will enjoy faster, fee-free withdrawals. Cryptocurrency payouts take 1-2 days to reach your wallet.

Mobile Compatibility: 4.3/5

As we’d expect here, Bovada’s betting platform is optimized for on-the-go bettors. Their esports betting section works great on mobile devices, and we enjoyed lag-free live streaming on quite a few Valorant games.

No matter where you are, their easily navigable UI makes quick work of locating the odds you’re looking for. Much like Sportsbetting.ag, Bovada is ready and willing to handle your mobile wagers.

Customer Support: 4.9/5

Bovada has enough industry experience to understand the importance of speedy, helpful customer support. You can reach out via phone, live chat, or email on a 24/7 basis.

Although their phone line can get a bit jammed up during peak hours, their live chat team is always on the ball. Within seconds of sending out a message, we were connected to a representative.

3. BetOnline – Best eSports Bookmaker for Competitive Odds

Pros:

  • Competitive odds on worldwide events
  • Integrates Twitch live-streaming
  • Odds for 10+ esports games
  • $1,000 deposit bonus
  • Phone, live chat, and email support

Cons:

  • Mobile interface feels cluttered
  • Credit card deposit fees

BetOnline carries the most competitive odds we’ve seen across hundreds of worldwide tournaments. In combination with their varied esports betting library and $1,000 deposit bonus, what’s not to love?

eSports Betting Markets: 4.6/5

BetOnline offers low-commission odds that edge out even the best sports betting sites. That said, they’ve got all-encompassing coverage for hundreds of worldwide events. You’ll enjoy live betting, futures, early wagers, and easy money lines on 10+ esports markets.

We found 200+ lines that cover CSGO, League of Legends, Valorant, FIFA, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, Starcraft II, and DOTA 2.

No matter your game of choice, BetOnline has enough options to keep you satisfied for months to come. Unlike their competition, they’ve been an early adopter of now-prevalent esports games.

They’re the first to post juicy bets, and you can place in-game wagers while you watch each match go down.

Welcome Bnus & Free Bets: 4.5/5

eSports fan can claim BetOnline’s lucrative match bonus worth 50% up to $1,000 in free bet credits. The catch here, however, is that you’ll have to lay down a minimum of $55 to qualify.

Although BetOnline’s welcome bonus looks great on its own, it’s further boosted by their industry-leading wagering requirements. They implement the same low playthrough as Sportsbetting.ag — 10x.

Once through with the welcome bonus, you can benefit from a 20% esports rebate, designed to get you back into the game after a few unlucky bets.

Crypto & Fiat Banking Options: 4.2/5

BetOnline accepts 17 cryptocurrencies alongside credit card payments, money orders, P2P transfers, and bank wire deposits. However, BetOnline levies fees for credit card deposits, so make sure to remember that before depositing.

You can deposit $20 through crypto or $25 through fiat to start betting, but you’ll need to hand over $55 or more to claim BetOnline’s $1,000 welcome bonus

Thankfully, crypto payouts are fairly quick – you’ll have your winnings within 1-2 days of initiating a withdrawal. Unlike their 3-5 day fiat cashouts, all crypto transactions are 100% fee-free.

Mobile Compatibility: 4.3/5

BetOnline’s mobile website feels cluttered on smaller screens. If you’re rocking a smartphone that just graduated from kindergarten, you’ll probably encounter some lag with their newer website.

(Luckily, their “classic” website is a bit more forgiving on older smartphones.)

That said, more recent smartphones handle BetOnline’s immersive website with ease. You’ll enjoy lightning-fast navigation, easy-to-use search filters, and lag-free live betting on a slew of global events.

Customer Support: 4.7/5

BetOnline has been a well-recognized online sportsbook since 2001, and they wouldn’t have survived in the business for 20+ years without implementing excellent customer support.

If you have questions or need assistance, you can get in touch via phone, live chat, or email support. Their staff is located all over the world, so there’s always somebody waiting to take your call.

4. BetUS – Top Betting Site for Major eSports Tournaments

Pros:

  • Covers all major tournaments
  • 12 esports games
  • $100 esports risk-free bet
  • $2,500 welcome offer
  • Phone, email, and live chat support

Cons:

  • $100 deposit minimum for bonus
  • Mobile client gets sluggish

As one of the top esports bookmakers, BetUS covers every major tournament taking place across the globe. They bring variety for gamers who refuse to compromise.

eSports Betting Markets: 4.7/5

BetUS hosts hundreds of competitive money lines on 12 different esports games. With the exception of Thunderpick, they bring unprecedented variety to their gaming library.

We found futures, straight bets, early-bird wagers, and upcoming matches under one convenient menu banner. You can wager on Valorant, the League of Legends World Championships, Counter-Strike, COD, Rainbow Six Siege, King of Glory, FIFA, and more.

You’ll enjoy Twitch-integrated live streaming across all major tournaments. In alignment with industry standards, BetUS gives bettors the option to place in-game wagers.

Welcome Bonus & Free Bets: 4/5

When you use the code “SU100CRYPT” with your first BTC deposit, you’ll receive a 100% sports welcome bonus worth up to $2,500. Crypto bettors will have a huge windfall to get them started in the right direction.

Although their minimum qualifying deposit is listed at $100, we haven’t seen an offer quite as generous elsewhere. BetUS’ 10x wagering requirements are yet another reason to pull the trigger on this deal.

Regarding esports-specific bonuses, you can use the code “ESPORTS100” to claim a 100% up to $100 risk-free bet on your first deposit.

Crypto & Fiat Banking Options: 4.1/5

BetUS ccepts 4 cryptocurrencies, credit card payments, and check deposits.

Crypto bettors can transact with BTC, LTC, BCH, or ETH. You can deposit a minimum of $10 through BTC to get started, but this minimum jumps to $25 for cash players.

Unfortunately, their $100 deposit bonus minimum is steep enough to turn some esports fans away. Fiat payouts are capped at $5,000, and there’s a 3% processing fee tacked onto each transaction.

Comparatively, crypto payouts are processed and delivered within 24 hours. Their $50,000 cash out maximum should satisfy nearly all types of players.

Mobile Compatibility: 4/5

Unfortunately, BetUS’ dedication to implementing futuristic graphics and a high-tech user interface backfires on older smartphones.

That said, we didn’t encounter any problems with their gaming library on our newer smartphone. So long as your device isn’t a fossil, you’ll enjoy smooth graphics, quick loading speeds, and seamless live-streaming via Twitch.

Customer Support: 4.6/5

With 25 year of industry experience, BetUS can be trusted to deliver exceptional customer support. They boast quick response times across 24/7 live chat, phone, and email contact options.

Their live chat section is engineered to instantly connect players with representatives. We got an email response within 6 hours, and we waited on hold for approximately 15 minutes before speaking with a real person.

5. Thunderpick – Best Live Betting System of any eSports Betting Site

Pros:

  • Site-native live streaming
  • 20+ esports markets
  • Hundreds of global events
  • Speedy, instant-play mobile app
  • Tons of crypto banking options

Cons:

  • No phone or email support
  • Crypto-only betting site
  • Underwhelming deposit bonus

Thunderpick doesn’t need to go through Twitch – their high-tech website houses lag-free live-streaming across 23 different esports markets. If you like to watch the action happen, you’ll love placing in-game bets here.

eSports Betting Markets: 5/5

Thunderpick rolls hundreds of money lines and high-tech live-streaming capabilities into one convenient platform. You’ll enjoy in-depth coverage across 20+ different esports markets, the most notable of which offer live betting.

CSGO, League of Legends, Valorant, King of Glory, Call of Duty, DOTA 2, and Rocket League remain their most popular titles, and there’s always an upcoming event to wager on.

This premier esports betting site covers numerous global events, so there’s never any downtime. Lines are posted almost immediately, and they’re constantly refreshed throughout the day to ensure 100% availability.

If you’re loking for unbeatable variety and non-stop live-action, Thunderpick is the place to be.

Welcome Bonus & Free Bets: 3.7/5

Thunderpick’s welcome bonus is lackluster in comparison to our higher-ranked sites, but it’s still worth pursuing.

When you use the code “WELCOME” with your first deposit, Thunderpick will tack 5% onto your casino balance. You can claim up to $500 in extra funds, and you’ll only need to meet their 2x rollover to earn your bonus back.

Although we weren’t the biggest fans of this offer, their $1 deposit minimum is a noticeable perk. Additionally, their rock-bottom wagering requirements remove the hassle and frustration of cashing out your wins.

You can alternatively claim a 100% up to $200 welcome bonus, but the wagering requirements of 30x will make it super tough to earn back, so we would definitely stick with the $500 offer.

Crypto & Fiat Banking Options: 4/5

Thunderpick doesn’t accept any fiat payment options. Credit cards, e-wallets, and voucher payments are replaced by 9 cryptocurrencies. Players can bank their funds with BTC, ETH, LTC, Binance Coin, Ripple, DOGE, BCH, Tether, or Tron.

Depending on the cryptocurrency used, minimum deposits range from $1 to $15. Surprisingly enough, you’ll only need to deposit $1 to trigger the 5% welcome bonus.

As we’d expect here, all crypto payouts are 100% fee-free. You can withdraw as little as $10 in crypto equivalent per transaction, and you’ll receive your winnings in 1-2 days.

Mobile Compatibility: 4.5/5

Thunderpick’s website is light-footed, mobile-friendly, and 100% equipped to handle your on-the-go wagers. Their instant-play mobile app offers a seamless transition between desktop and smartphone, and it doesn’t sacrifice an ounce of compatibility on either front.

We enjoyed comprehensive live-streaming and one-click betting across their entire esports library, and their eye-popping mobile UI made us come back for more.

Customer Support: 3.8/5

There’s no sugarcoating it – Thunderpick falls short in this department. Unlike our higher-ranked esports betting sites, they don’t offer phone or email support for registered members. If you need to get in touch with somebody, you’ll have to settle for a 24/7 live chat.

In their defense, their live chat box can handle the pressure. Within seconds of sending their team a message, we were connected to a professional representative.

Review: SAMARITAN, A Sly Stallone Superhero Stumble

Hitting the three-quarter-century mark usually means a retirement home, a nursing facility, or if you’re lucky to be blessed with relatively good health and savings to match, living in a gated community in Arizona or Florida.

For Sylvester Stallone, however, it means something else entirely: starring in the first superhero-centered film of his decades-long career in the much-delayed Samaritan. Unfortunately for Stallone and the audience on the other side of the screen, the derivative, turgid, forgettable results won’t get mentioned in a career retrospective, let alone among the ever-expanding list of must-see entries in a genre already well past its peak.

For Stallone, however, it’s better late than never when it involves the superhero genre. Maybe in getting a taste of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) with his walk-on role in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel several years ago, Stallone thought anything Marvel can do, I can do even better (or just as good in the nebulous definition of the word).

The property Stallone and his team found for him, Samaritan, a little-known graphic novel released by a small, almost negligible, publisher, certainly takes advantage of Stallone’s brute-force physicality and his often underrated talent for near-monosyllabic brooding (e.g., the Rambo series), but too often gives him to little do or say as the lone super-powered survivor, the so-called “Samaritan” of the title, of a lifelong rivalry with his brother, “Nemesis.” Two brothers entered a fire-ravaged building and while both were presumed dead, one brother did survive (Stallone’s Joe Smith, a garbageman by day, an appliance repairman by night).

In the Granite City of screenwriter Bragi F. Schut (Escape Room, Season of the Witch), the United States, and presumably the rest of the world, teeters on economic and political collapse, with a recession spiraling into a depression, steady gigs difficult, if not impossible, to obtain, and the city’s neighborhoods rocked by crime and violence. No one’s safe, not even 13-year-old Sam (Javon Walker), Joe’s neighbor.

When he’s not dodging bullies connected to a gang, he’s falling under the undue influence of Cyrus (Pilou Asbæk), a low-rent gang leader with an outsized ego and the conviction that he and only he can take on Nemesis’s mantle and along with that mantle, a hammer “forged in hate,” to orchestrate a Bane-like plan to plunge the city into chaos and become a wealthy power-broker in the process.

Schut’s woefully underwritten script takes a clumsy, haphazard approach to world-building, relying on a two-minute animated sequence to open Samaritan while a naive, worshipful Sam narrates Samaritan and Nemesis’s supposedly tragic, Cain and Abel-inspired backstory. Schut and director Julius Avery (Overlord) clumsily attempt to contrast Sam’s childish belief in messiah-like, superheroic saviors stepping in to save humanity from itself and its own worst excesses, but following that path leads to authoritarianism and fascism (ideas better, more thoroughly explored in Watchmen and The Boys).

While Sam continues to think otherwise, Stallone’s superhero, 25 years past his last, fatal encounter with his presumably deceased brother, obviously believes superheroes are the problem and not the solution (a somewhat reasonable position), but as Samaritan tracks Joe and Sam’s friendship, Sam giving Joe the son he never had, Joe giving Sam the father he lost to street violence well before the film’s opening scene, it gets closer and closer to embracing, if not outright endorsing Sam’s power fantasies, right through a literally and figuratively explosive ending. Might, as always, wins regardless of how righteous or justified the underlying action.

It’s what superhero audiences want, apparently, and what Samaritan uncritically delivers via a woefully under-rendered finale involving not just unconvincing CGI fire effects, but a videogame cut-scene quality Stallone in a late-film flashback sequence that’s meant to be subversively revelatory, but will instead lead to unintentional laughter for anyone who’s managed to sit the entirety of Samaritan’s one-hour and 40-minute running time.

Samaritan is now streaming worldwide on Prime Video.

Matt Shakman Is In Talks To Direct ‘Fantastic Four’

Published

on

By

According to a new report, Wandavision’s Matt Shakman is in talks to direct the upcoming MCU project, Fantastic Four. Marvel Studios has been very hush-hush regarding Fantastic Four to the point where no official announcements have been made other than the film’s release date. No casting news or literally anything other than rumors has been released regarding the project. We know that Fantastic Four is slated for release on November 8th, 2024, and will be a part of Marvel’s Phase 6. There are also rumors that the cast of the new Fantastic Four will be announced at the D23 Expo on September 9th.

Fantastic Four is still over two years from release, and we assume we will hear more news about the project in the coming months. However, the idea of the Fantastic Four has already been introduced into the MCU. John Krasinski played Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The cameo was a huge deal for fans who have been waiting a long time for the Fantastic Four to enter the MCU. When Disney acquired Twenty Century Fox in 2019 we assumed that the Fox Marvel characters would eventually make their way into the MCU. It’s been 3 years and we already have had an X-Men and Fantastic Four cameo – even if they were from another universe.

Deadline is reporting that Wandavision’s Matt Shakman is in talks to direct Fantastic Four. Shakman served as the director for Wandavision and has had an extensive career. He directed two episodes of Game of Thrones and an episode of The Boys, and he had a long stint on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. There is nothing official yet, but Deadline’s sources say that Shakman is currently in talks for the job and things are headed in the right direction.

To be honest, I was a bit more excited when Jon Watts was set to direct. I’m sure Shakman is a good director, but Watts proved he could handle a tentpole superhero film with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Wandavision was good, but Watts’ style would have been perfect for Fantastic Four. The film is probably one of the most anticipated films in Marvel’s upcoming slate films and they need to find the best person they can to direct. Is that Matt Shakman? It could be, but whoever takes the job must realize that Marvel has a lot riding on this movie. The other Fantastic Four films were awful and fans deserve better. Hopefully, Marvel knocks it out of the park as they usually do. You can see for yourself when Fantastic Four hits theaters on November 8th, 2024.

Film Synopsis: One of Marvel’s most iconic families makes it to the big screen: the Fantastic Four.

Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase have entered Zombie Town, a mystery teen romancer based on author R.L. Stine’s book of the same name.

The indie, now shooting in Ontario, also stars Henry Czerny and co-teen leads Marlon Kazadi and Madi Monroe. The ensemble cast includes Scott Thompson and Bruce McCulloch of the Canadian comedy show Kids in the Hall.

Canadian animator Peter Lepeniotis will direct Zombie Town. Stine’s kid’s book sees a quiet town upended when 12-year-old Mike and his friend, Karen, see a horror movie called Zombie Town and unexpectedly see the title characters leap off the screen and chase them through the theater.

Zombie Town will premiere in U.S. theaters before streaming on Hulu and then ABC Australia in 2023.

“We are delighted to bring the pages of R.L. Stine’s Zombie Town to the screen and equally thrilled to be working with such an exceptional cast and crew on this production. A three-time Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award winner with book sales of over $500 million, R.L. Stine has a phenomenal track record of crafting stories that engage and entertain audiences,” John Gillespie, Trimuse Entertainment founder and executive producer, said in a statement.
